Grilled Asian Flank Steak Skewers
This recipe can use any one of the following Something Special products:
Gourmet Red Chili •
Red Chili Pepper Spread
Ingredients1 flank steak
1/4 cup ( 60 mL) Hoisin paste
1/4 cup (60 mL)
Gourmet Red Chili or Red Chili Pepper Spread2 Tbsp (30 mL) soya sauce
1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) sesame oil
1 tsp (5 mL) grated ginger
1 Tbsp (15 mL) water
Garnishes (optional): chopped chives and/or red chili flakes
Method1. Slice flank steak across the grain into 1/4" slices.
2. Combine all marinade ingredients in a zip-lock bag and add sliced steak.
3. Refrigerate 6 hours up to overnight.
4. Thread onto skewers and barbeque or broil until desired doneness.
5. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.
