Grilled Cheese
This recipe can use any one of the following Something Special products:
Gourmet Red Chili •
Red Chili Pepper Spread •
Gourmet Jalapeno
Grilled Cheese is
Something Special!
Spice up every-day grilled cheese with your favourite
Something Special product.
INGREDIENTS2 slices whole-wheat bread
Cheddar cheese, sliced (enough to cover one piece of bread)
Butter or margarine (optional)
1 to 2 teaspoons
Something Special Dip or Spread of your choice
METHOD for traditional grilled cheese (shown in photo)
1. Heat a non-stick or well-seasoned pan on medium-low.
2.
Spread Something Special dip or spread over one slice of bread.
3. Top with cheese and the second slice of bread. Lightly butter both sides of the bread, if desired.
4. Place in prepared pan and heat until cheese is thoroughly melted and bread is golden brown on both sides, flipping once or as needed.
Makes 1 sandwich
Optional OPEN-FACED METHOD:1. Heat broiler on medium.
2.
Spread Something Special dip or spread over both slices of bread.
3. Top both slices of bread with cheese.
4. Broil, open-faced, until cheese is nicely melted.
Makes 2, open-faced sandwiches
