Pork Tenderloin on Skewers
This recipe can use any one of the following Something Special products:
Gourmet Red Chili •
Red Chili Pepper Spread
This tender and succulent pork tenderloin is a favourite with adults and children alike.INGREDIENTS2 pork tenderloins
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons (10 ml) ginger, minced
1/3 cup (80 ml)
Something Special Red Chili or Red Chili Pepper Spread2 tablespoons (30 mL) soya sauce
¼ cup (50 mL) hoisin sauce
¼ cup (50 mL) ketchup
Dash cayenne pepper
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
METHOD1. In a small bowl, thoroughly combine the garlic, ginger,
Something Special Red Chili or Red Chili Pepper Spread, soya sauce, hoisin sauce, ketchup and cayenne pepper.
2. Slice pork tenderloins into 1 cm (or ½ inch) thick medallions and place in a glass dish.
3. Pour marinade over top and mix well to thoroughly coat pork medallions.
4. Marinate in the fridge for 4 hours or up to overnight.
5. When ready to cook, thread medallions onto skewers and barbeque until internal temperature reaches a temperature of 160 oF. (Note: if using wooden skewers soak them first in water for at least 30 minutes).
6. Place cooked pork skewers on a platter and garnish with chopped green onions.
Serves 6
Note: Delicious served with rice and a salad.
