Sweet and Spicy Salsa
This recipe calls for:
Gourmet Jalapeno
1/4 cup
Gourmet Jalapeno, room temperature
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 oranges, segmented and chopped
2 mangoes, peeled and chopped
1/2 pineapple, peeled, cored and chopped
1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
2 avocados, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
CINNAMON TORTILLA CHIPS2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup melted butter
6 to 8 large tortillas
Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Stir just before serving.
To make the cinnamon tortilla chips, preheat the oven to 375F (190C). Combine sugar, cinnamon and salt in a small bowl. Brush one side of each tortilla with butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon mixture. Place tortillas in a single layer on baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until crisp and golden; cool. Break into pieces and. serve with the salsa. Serves 6 to 8.
